Shinto Katana

Having formed midway through the last decade, they have spent their time honing their craft, doing the hard yards and winning over audience’s one show at a time. From humble beginnings in the west Sydney metalcore scene to being the one of the most promising Australian heavy bands in recent years, Shinto Katana have shared stages on tours with bands like Emmure, Shai Hulud, The Red Shore and Deez Nuts and supporting the likes of August Burns Red, Darkest Hour and Bleeding Through.

Having released two full length albums, 2008’s much loved “Cold Streets” and 2010’s more metallic sophomore release “We Can’t Be Saved”, Shinto Katana returned to the studio and recorded what they describe as combining the best elements of all they have written before. With new pre-production version of the track “Ghost” spreading like wildfire, its evident that they are making good on their promise.
